Reeves County Sheriff's Office hosted the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Canine Encounter course to train Law Enforcement Officers on how to properly handle aggressive Canines encountered on the day to day operations. The course trained Officers on the various non-lethal techniques used to deter canines from attacking Officers and Citizens. It also trained Officers on how to read canine body language to prevent attacks and how to resort to the sometimes inevitable last resort on the use of deadly force without endangering Citizens. The course was taught by K9 Master Cpl. Anthony Ramon of the Reeves County Sheriff's Office to all Deputies and Game Wardens of the Texas Game & Fish to better serve the community of Reeves County.
